This is a terrific school with many ways to become involved.

If you are a parent, grandparent or other caring adult in the life of one of the Happy Valley School students, you are automatically a member of the Parent Club. The Parent Club is an outlet for parents and others to actively participate in this school. Happy Valley School is a very small, single school, School District. The HVS Parent Club works to promote open communication and positive school/community relationships that enhance our children’s educational environment. We work as a group to maintain solid working relationships between parents, the school and the community and to work to provide critical information about the school to all parents.

The HVS Parent Club also spends a great portion of its time fundraising – raising funds for school supplies for the classrooms and key programs, which fall outside of the school budget. These include the art and music program, Life Lab, the library, the computer lab, maintenance and repair of the school grounds and playground refurbishing and upkeep.

Meetings are held every other month during the school year. Each meeting covers a variety of topics and addresses concerns as they come up. While fundraising is a big element of each meeting, we also discuss the state of the budget, building awareness of key issues that parents need to be made aware of, and work to build a sense of community at HVS. The money that is raised by the Parent Club benefits all of the students at Happy Valley School.

The Parent Club is a non-profit organization governed by a set of bylaws.

Parent Club Meetings are on Fridays at 1:00 pm every other month starting in September.
Meetings usually last between 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Meeting room locations will be announced.
